vibe • noun informal 1 the atmosphere or aura of a person or place as communicated to and felt by others.
Welcome to The Vibe. The Vibe is a completely unique psyche of select followers, believers – FANS of the University of Nebraska Corhusker Football Program. We are a significant (important) subsect of Husker Nation…we can be found cheering on the Men in Red, the Men of the Corn - either at the Citadel of college football – Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Nebraska or in spirit…from thousands of miles away.
The Vibe has been around since the early days of the Frank Solich era…a concept created by the one we call “Dog” and channeled through the one called “Brady”. The previous regime (which will remain nameless) damn-near killed The Vibe, but it has found its way out of the darkness and into the light of a brighter day and future for Husker Nation.
The Vibe can manifest in many different forms but will almost always present itself a day or two prior to a Husker contest and will reappear as a Rave or Rant a day or two after.
The Vibe works best when there is multiple mindsets working together toward one common goal and mission…to see “a true return to dominance by the Big Red.” Think of The Vibe like the proton packs used in Ghostbusters…only when they crossed the streams were they at full power and able to defeat Gozer. Yeah, The Vibe works just like that. The more mindstreams that are crossed in the discussion of Husker Football, the more powerful and clear The Vibe becomes.
If you know me and The Vibe is strong in you, feel free to join in the fun. If you just stumbled upon this site by accident and The Vibe is strong in you, I would invite you to be our guest and join the fun. We are, after all, just working together for the greater good known as Cornhusker Football. If you are here as a guest and become nothing more than an antagonist, nay-sayer or worse…an out-spoken fan of some other lesser program or institution, you will be struck down in your tracks by The Vibe itself and you will be sorry you ever questioned the wisdom of The Vibe in the first place. You have been warned…
So with that, here is to another great season for the Men in Red. Always remember…THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE NEBRASKA!!!
